Fe(III) EDTA (1.64%): 4.0 ml
Distilled water: 1.0 L
Adjust pH to 6.5
For semisolid medium, add 0.5 g of agar and omit NH4Cl; for solid medium, add 15 g of agar. Autoclave at 121°C for 30 min.
The carbon sources are sterilized separately (i.e., DL-sodium malate) or filter sterilized (i.e., sucrose) and added aseptically to the minimal medium to give a final concentration of 0.03 M.
